Our Birthday parties feature a 2-hour fun and educational party for your child and his/her guests. We learn about animals, spend time outdoors (weather and programming permitting) and see live animals. Your child and friends will learn about nature while having fun and enjoying their birthday.

An Audubon Naturalist will lead the party for the first hour with themed games and activities. You can choose from one of the many party themes we offer.

We also provide you with a private room for food and fun, FREE admission to the Center's exhibits for all your guests, and a FREE Audubon hat for the birthday child.

You just bring the cake, ice cream, other treats, paper goods, and decorations (please no balloons).

Talons and Beaks
Explore the world of raptors!  Learn about the adaptations, behaviors, ecology and importance of these amazing birds of prey.  Hands-on activities and a visit from a live owl are all part of the fun. For ages 6 to 15.

Beautiful Butterflies
Discover the magic of how caterpillars turn into beautiful
butterflies.  Learn about their lifecycle and other amazing
butterfly facts.  This program, offered May-October,
includes a story and outdoor hike if weather permits.

Wildlife Discovery
Join us to discover the wonders and mysteries of nature. Children take on the role of ecologists as they explore the world of plants, animals, water and more.  This program may include outdoor activities when weather and conditions permit .

Remarkable Reptiles
Discover the amazing world of reptiles. Learn about their unique characteristics, where they live in Rhode Island, and even visit with one of our reptiles up close. Weather permitting this program may include an outdoor hike.

Creepy Crawlies
Bugs, millipedes, and spiders, oh my! Explore the world of insects, spiders and other creepy crawly critters. You'll even get a chance to meet our resident millipedes. If the weather is right we will also take a hike outside to find some wild creepy crawlies.

Tide Pool Critters
Come explore a Rhode Island coastal habitat, the tide pool, without ever leaving the Center. Learn what unique animals live in a tide pool and how they are adapted to live in such a harsh environment.

Whales and Sharks!
Learn what whales and sharks have in common and how they differ. Kids will get to explore our life size right whale replica and check out our resident dogfish shark. They will even discover what a whale shark is!

Coastal Explorations
This summer the Center will offer Coastal Birthday parties. Children will get the chance to hike down to the shore and explore our rocky coastline. Since it's best to explore the shore at low tide, party dates and times will vary. This is a 2 1/2 hour party and has a different price structure.
ASRI Members $175.00 and Non-Members $200.00.

Party Information

Size of the Party/Chaperones
Our parties are suitable for children ages 3 to 15.
There is a limit of 20 children and we require a parent/chaperone ratio of 1 adult to every 5 children for a maximum of 25 guests . For more guests there is an additional fee of $5 per person (child/adult) with a maximum of 35 people.

A 50% deposit is due at the time of registration. The remaining balance is due on the day of the party. (Visa/MasterCard accepted).

Cancellations made at least 30 days in advance of the party will receive a full refund less a $25 administration fee. Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the party will not be refunded their deposit. Parties cancelled due to snow closure by ASRI will be rescheduled or receive a full refund.

Give the Gift of Giving
In lieu of gifts your child may ask friends to make a donation to the Audubon Society of RI. Ask us for preprinted cards to go with your child's invitation.

Weekdays at 3 pm
Saturdays at 10 am and 2 pm
Sunday at 2 pm
Parties start promptly at scheduled time. You are able to set-up one hour prior to the party and must have classroom cleaned-up no longer than 30 minutes after the party.

Audubon Society of RI Member: $150.00
Non-Members: $180.00
If you need more than 2 hours, please add $50.00 for one additional hour.
